Ideal Periods to Visit

Spring Window

7 Mar – 4 Apr 2025

One of the most comfortable periods for Marrakech and Agafay, with warm but manageable daytime temperatures and pleasant evenings.

Crowds are moderate to high, especially around weekends and hotel peak periods, but the atmosphere remains lively rather than overwhelming.

Outdoor dining, garden visits and desert sunsets can all be enjoyed without extreme heat.

Autumn Window

17 Oct – 14 Nov 2026

A prime travel period with softer light, excellent terrace weather and ideal conditions for desert evenings.

Expect mild to warm days and cool nights, with moderate crowds and strong demand for top riads and camps.

Especially good for pairing medina culture with Agafay’s open-air landscape in comfort.

Local Transport

Private transfers

Best for airport, city-to-desert and hotel-to-restaurant movements. Hotel concierge-arranged drivers and official transfers are the safest premium option.

Taxis & walking

Short taxi rides are practical in Marrakech. Walking is often best inside the medina where possible, but confirm prices before departure.

Apps & costs

Careem is commonly used in Morocco’s larger cities, while Google Maps helps for orientation. Short city rides are approx. MAD 50–150; Marrakech–Agafay round transfers are approx. MAD 500–1,200.

Main transfer times
